We strive to maintain a traditional Ministry in the Spirit of Saint Francis of Assisi in the comfort of our modern facilities made possible by the generosity of the Catholic Diocese of Richmond.
Saint Francis Home, Inc. is a privately supported, Charitable Organization as defined under U.S. Federal Tax Code 501(c)(3). The Home was founded in 1973 as a Social Ministry of the Catholic Diocese of Richmond and is governed by a 25 member volunteer Board of Directors appointed by the Bishop of Richmond, who is the Chairman of the Organization.
Saint Francis Home’s purpose is to serve seniors of limited financial means by offering life-enhancing care and services designed to promote physical, mental, emotional, social, and spiritual well-being in a home-like environment where independence, dignity, and self-worth are nurtured. Saint Francis Home is open to qualifying seniors over the age of 50 without preference or discrimination based on race, creed, religion, gender, or country of origin.
At Saint Francis, we believe assisted living homes shouldn't feel like assisted living facilities. They should feel like home. We have been providing a "Home" for seniors and the disabled for almost 40 years. Finding the right assisted living facility for your loved one is one of the most important decisions you can make. Let us assist you in making that decision!

SFH offers care and assistance to elderly and disabled adults who would otherwise not be able to afford the exceptional services we provide. We offer a clean, safe and permanent home to qualifying adults with little or no income. The staff and volunteers are here because they care about the mission to provide love and care to our residents. We strive to provide a warm, loving and spiritual environment for each and every one of our residents. Our residents deserve to live their final years with dignity and respect.
As a 501(c)(3) Saint Francis Home generates no profits. In fact, in order to deliver the quality of care respectful of human dignity, we incur an operating loss of approximately $250,000 annually. Your support of any kind is greatly appreciated.
