Mission:  To provide high-quality residential and assisted care and services for older adults of limited financial means in a home-like environment where independence, dignity and self worth are nurtured.

We strive to maintain a traditional Ministry in the Spirit of Saint Francis of Assisi in the comfort of our modern facilities made possible by the generosity of the Catholic Diocese of Richmond.

Saint Francis Home, Inc. is a privately supported, Charitable Organization as defined under U.S. Federal Tax Code 501 (c) (3).  The Home was founded in 1973 as a Social Ministry of the Catholic Diocese of Richmond and is governed by a 25 member volunteer Board of Directors appointed by the Bishop of Richmond, who is the Chairman of the Organization.

Saint Francis Home’s purpose is to serve seniors of limited financial means by offering life-enhancing care and services designed to promote physical, mental, emotional, social, and spiritual well-being in a home-like environment where independence, dignity, and self-worth are nurtured.  Saint Francis Home is open to qualifying seniors over the age of 50 without preference or discrimination based on race, creed, religion, gender, or country of origin.

As a 501 (c) (3) Saint Francis Home generates no profits.  In fact, in order to deliver the quality of care respectful of human dignity, we incur an operating loss of approximately $250,000 annually. Your financial support of any size is greatly appreciated.
